A few months after I had moved out of my apartment, my old landlord sued me for alleged damages which he said I had caused(I didn't). I thought that I could handle it on my own and went to the magistrate without a lawyer. Big mistake. The judge didn't listen to anything I said and gave my landlord a ...$10,000 judgment!
