Amy Acheson was born and raised in Pittsburgh. After graduation from The Ellis School, she matriculated at Haverford College, and earned a B.A. in Economics.
Amy Acheson went on to graduate with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Upon graduation, Amy started her legal career at Reed Smith Shaw & McClay (now Reed Smith LLP), where she was mentored by many legendary Pittsburgh attorneys — Walter McGough, Nelson Young, Tony Basinski, Craig Jones, Sherman McLaughlin, and Richard Wentley to name only a few. After eight years at Reed Smith, she became a Shareholder of Berger Law Firm P.C. where she practiced until 2000.
In 2000, Amy founded her own law practice to serve existing and new clients. She has also served as Of Counsel to Pittsburgh law firms.
