Daniel T. Reimer

Raised in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, Dan is a 1993 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, where he contributed as a Research Editor for the Duquesne Law Review. His career began in prosecution at the Warren County and Allegheny County District Attorney’s Offices, where he honed his trial skills and argued before Pennsylvania’s Superior and Supreme Courts. In private practice, Dan focused on juvenile delinquency, dependency, and representing indigent parents in parental rights termination proceedings. He played a significant role in the creation of the Office of Conflict Counsel and contributed to evaluating juvenile justice practices in Allegheny County. In 2005, Dan served as Assistant Counsel to the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board, focusing on judicial misconduct investigations and prosecutions, notably handling cases in Philadelphia County. Since returning to Pittsburgh in 2010, his practice has centered on estate planning and elder law, including public workshops and collaborations with financial advisors. Dan is enthusiastic about joining Abernethy & Hagerman, providing legal counsel in the community he loves, where he lives with his wife Carol and daughter Hannah.
