Jessica M. Saks

State Police arrested Jennifer M. Saks, Esq., on one count of Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree and one count of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the 1st Degree. This arrest is a result of an investigation by the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit out of Rochester following... a complaint received in June 2024 that Saks, while employed as the Chief Attorney of the Schuyler County and Chemung County Children's Law Office, to the Supreme Court, Appellate Division Third Judicial Department, falsified receipts and financial records that resulted in New York State reimbursing her in the amount of approximately $19,957 that she was not legally entitled to. By overstating or forging bills, she received financial benefits that were intended for other employees in her office as well as received reimbursement for personal expenses that were not related to her employment by the court. Saks was arraigned in Albany City Court and released pending future court dates.

I hired Jessica Saks because she was recommended. Not only was she extremely hard to get a call back from, probably call 6-8 times over 3 weeks before she’d return the call, but she was also sloppy looking when she got to court, wearing crocs, didn’t brush her hair. She charged $2500 and we only ha...d three 30 minute appearances, one 25 minute consult, one phone call for maybe 15 minutes and talked for maybe 10 minutes before each appearance. Don’t waste your money, you can represent yourself and do the same thing she does. LAZY!
