Not our lawyer, but he works on condemned homes to rent as apartments. He asked for $250 from my naive daughter with verbal agreement to hold a place for a few months, but the place looked inhabitable. He said it would be ready, but it looked impossible because the place (190 Barrett) has a condemne...d sign and posted letter from dept. of development, new windows not sealed, no flooring, mice poop, unattached heater, junk in the yard, skunk living under the steps, tools and garbage lying around outside and inside, etc. I hope he would have followed through, but we will never know since my daughter found another place that was clean and ready for half the price. I also noticed he had trouble looking us in the eyes.
