Unlawyerly

Appearance is very unlawyerly. Came to my sentencing with ripped pants. Not recently ripped. There were strands of material coming off of the cuff his pants. He consistently asked me if I had paid him yet when I already had. He was late to all court dates except for one. The one he wasn't late for,... the courts sent me the wrong time on the letter and he didn't try to argue it at all despite me showing him the letter. He constantly got court postponed for 8 months and it was palpable that the judge was getting furious about it. He kept telling me that this did not seem like a jail case to him. I went to jail for a year. If I would've gone with a public defender and pled guilt I would have got a year. Complete waste of $3500. He also asked me to get letters from friends and family to attest to character as a good person who made a mistake and request leniency. As embarrassing as this was to ask, I did. The judge never got the letters, he forgot them. Not only was he late constantly, the day of my sentencing he actually told me to tell the judge he was running late.

DWAI Defense

Don't walk, run from this guy. If he's so good, why on Craig's List ? He shows up in court with a dirty suit with food stains on it and a shirt unpressed with buttons missing. He lost his temper with me 3 times unprovoked outside the courtroom which demonstrates lack of professionalism. I now have a ...new attorney that's a former DA that looked over my trial transcripts and explained how Karl sold me out to a guilty plea instead of challenging several loopholes that would have had the case dismissed. I believe he either is afraid to defend in a jury trial or just has no experience. You stand before the judge for sentencing and he tells you to just plea guilty. Next day, he refuses to take my calls unless of course I pay him more. He is a schlock that just sells you out to make a quick buck and lacks self control and polish. If he is so good, why is he still living with his parents at his age ? Do your research when in need of an attorney because there are still a few very good ones out there and I do mean few. Karl manipulates the system and intimidates you to plead the path of resistance. He should be disbarred.

I went to court in Rochester NY three times for him. Met with the DA and the Judge. He paid me $500, and failed to pay me the promised fee. I secured him a plea that he refused to consider. Ultimately he insulted me personally and at that point I let him go as a client. I drove from Buffalo NY to Rochester three times in an attempt to resolve his case. Finally, he called me about three weeks ago he was very nice to me on the phone this time. I only saw this review for the first time today. I know this situation has been very difficult for him. However, i think much of his anger was focused on me. God bless him and I do wish him the best of luck in the future. Update he still calls me from Rochester and asks my opinion. He denies posting this review. However, what he does not know is that he was my first client in over 8 years from Rochester. I have just recently returned to Rochester City Court. He lost his case and i believe is now filed some sort of lawsuit against the police officers. At lease that is what he told me a couple of weeks ago.

EXTREMELY HAPPY

Very reassuring and great at what he does! I was really nervous about my case but he was sure that we would leave with just a violation which is the best case scenario. He showed up early and already spoke to the district attorney before I got there so he pretty much already handled it and we were th...e first ones called and even the judge said he did a great job and that was why I got off so easily. We were literally in and out. Most lawyers charge a huge retainer and some don't even work as hard as he does so that definitely makes him even better! I could not have asked for a better lawyer. I would much rather support a lawyer who is not just all about the money.. You can definitely tell he truly cares and he takes the time to get to know his clients. Definitely recommend Karl Marks without hesitation and so should you! You won't find any bad reviews.. Trust me I did my research and personally found out that they are all positive and true. Extremely happy with my results and you will too!

Best attorney in town

Karl Myles is probably one of the most honest attorneys Ive ever come into contact with!! I didn't have to go to court not one time for my speeding ticket, and it was dropped to a parking ticket (no points). His prices are great and he takes care of things fast!!
