Robin Day is a partner at Kanazawa Day, PLLC. Prior to practicing in Education Law; Ms. Day devoted her career to protecting children and vulnerable members of our community. Ms. Day has worked as an Assistant District Attorney prosecuting cases involving domestic violence, sex crimes, and crimes against children. She worked tirelessly to advocate for victims that could not advocate for themselves. Ms. Day was also an Assistant Special Prosecutor for the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs where she handled criminal cases for vulnerable victims at the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Office of Mental Health (OMH), Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), State Education Department, Department of Health, and Office of Child and Family Services.
Ms. Day was also a Deputy County Attorney where she represented Child Protective Workers. While working there she handled emotionally sensitive cases where children were neglected and abused. In addition, she conducted hearings to retain child abuse indications to ensure individuals stayed on the New York State Child Abuse Registry.
Ms. Day is a seasoned trial attorney with over 20 years experience having tried cases in Supreme Court, County Court, and Family Court in New York. She has also tried cases in front of Administrative Law Judges and Impartial Hearing Officers. Ms. Day is a skilled advocate who has been trained to forensically interview children and individuals with disabilities.
Ms. Day has a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University, her Juris Doctor from University of Arkansas, and her Masters in Education from University at Buffalo. In addition, while in law school her trial team won the regional team defeating 21 other law schools and advancing to the National Competition. Ms. Day is admitted to practice in New York.
Ms. Day is a native Buffalonian having graduated from City Honors. She lives with her three children and Daisy, her little red Cavapoo dog.
