Randy Stuart Margulis

DO NOT HIRE Randy. He takes on too many cases. More than what him or his associates can handle. Never remembers anything about your case. Have to spend the first 15 minutes of each conversation reminding him of information that was already given. He talks a big game when you have your initial co...nsultation, but does not actually follow through. Also says that " You are paying me, so essentially you are my boss." He will not "advise" you against something. Will just state "No, I'm not doing that". Every time I had correspondence with Randy, he either wrote in an email, or spoke to me oh the phone like I was stupid. He also showed aggravation and annoyance every time we spoke and he is very argumentative. Randy is also "very busy" because he ends up suing a lot of his clients. Lastly, one thing to think about. If you do your diligence of researching attorneys, how many other attorney's waste their time responding to negative reviews. If you already hired Randy, or going to hire him anyways, last piece of advice is; Know your rights and options as a client, read the retainer agreement VERY Carefully

Randy Margulis “Represented” my divorce case. I quote the word represented because I was rarely ever able to reach him, he would only half listen to my situation, very absent minded (almost as though he takes on too much work at once). He would only appear in court for the serious appearances. Anythi...ng less, he sends another lawyer and be very careful with invoicing. Read his contract in full and understand that regardless of the job performed- you will be billed with no mercy. Long story short- his firm handled a case for me and completely left out adjusting child support and his competence was greatly questioned in the courtroom. He still feels as though I owe a few thousand for a job NOT well done and if you don’t pay, he threatens to sue! I do not recommend.

I retained Randy's services to fight for custody of my children. Based on his reputation I expected a lot more than I got! Randy spent little time working on my case. He often sent an "associate" to court appearances rather than showing up himself. There were several critical moments when he was ...not available to help!! The few times he did show up in court, he was grossly unprepared and the opposing counsel made both he and I look foolish, basically walked all over him! Every time I needed to consult with Randy it was like he was looking at my case for the first time! Over the course of the case, there were hours of time spent just rehashing what had already been covered in a previous consult and bringing Randy back up to speed. And of course he then turned around and billed me for all that wasted time. Randy never told me the same story twice! Numerous times during my case he would say he could accomplish "A, B and C", and then turn around and say he didn't know where I came up with that idea, but rather it would go "D, E and F". And the next time we would talk about the same issue it would go to "G, H and I"!! He also did not even come close to accomplishing the items he was retained for. Because the case became more complicated than I believe he anticipated, he told me our association was done and he would not be addressing the remaining matters! My experience with this attorney were far different from the reviews I see posted here. I guess my warning would be that unless you are ready to throw down tens of thousands of dollars, don't expect much from this man. I paid him over 1/3 of my take home salary within one year and Randy did not accomplish anything for me that I couldn't have done on my own!

Randy started off strong and well. However as the case went on, he became less and less involved. He seems to have his attention elsewhere and does not do anything with my case unless prompted over and over by me, It's been 1.5 yrs since we started now and I rarely get updates or action. Nor is the... case over. I've spent a lot of money (and time) getting to the settlement part and now its just dragging on. And on. I cannot recommend this attorney, despite what I thought his reputation seemed from reviews.

I was his client March of 2015. He was sent a copy of judgement for approval in July 2015 and the case was almost finalized. He did not respond to it and cost me money and time. I had to go to court and go to trial. I requested him to get subpoena the documents for the child custody evaluations and h...e never did. While my wife did get it. Then Randy claims that he did know why the child custody evaluator gave importance to the documents. He has memory issues.
