Foreclosure 20%

In most cases, people facing foreclosure also have other debt problems. Therefore, as a general rule, we recommend that clients file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy relief. This gives the client up to five years to catch up on delinquent mortgage payments. It also gives them an opportunity to apply for a loan modification without the stress of a foreclosure action or the accrual of unnecessary court costs and legal fees. In appropriate cases, we can defend the foreclosure action without bankruptcy.

Hire someone else!!!

I'm not even sure if my bankruptcy is complete because nobody at the office will call me back or answer my e-mails. The assistant who I have e-mailed in the past as a last resort is rude. Everything seemed to be going well at first, but after my petition was filed they pretty much ghosted me.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grubea's employee Joe DeMarco is based on our experience with him incompetent, and inept at best. Seldom communicated with us, never returned emails when badly needed and when we needed something, really, really needed something he failed to file the proper paperwork which would allow us to close on ...a house...Stay Away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Trustworthy Professional

I am a senior professional by trade and my income is close to six figures. I had debts close to $200,000.00. I was feeling very humiliated and embarrassed to file for chapter 13 bankruptcy. I consulted three attorneys before coming across website of Mr. Grubea. First attorney told me I will have t...o pay $2700.00 upfront fee and due to my high income I will be paying plus of $2300.00 a month. Second attorney told me he will charge $1800 fee and I will be paying little over $1000. Third attorney told that he will charge $1000 upfront fee and I will pay around $800 a monthl. Then I came across Mr. Grubea's website that said I will only pay $300 upfront fee. I scheduled a telephone consultation with Mr Grubea, who explained to me in detail chapter 13 proceedings and how he will be able to help me by keeping monthly payments very low and under $300 a month. The telephone interview was very professional, comforting and assuring that I was talking to a real professional who will take good care of my case. I completed all documentation sent to me by his office. I got very prompt replies to my queries. I had only one trustee meeting where Mr Grubea's assistant came who was also very professional. For the case hearing with the Bankruptcy Judge, Mr Grubea was himself present. Against a number of objections by the Trustee attorney, Mr Grubea, as his calculations and promise, was able to convince the Judge and got my monthly payment to just $208 a month. It made a very comfortable and free of humiliation experience. I would highly recommend, especially professionals with high income, who feel humiliated talking for bankruptcy to consult Mr. Grubea. You will feel surprisingly comfortable and get rid of all worries and tensions, and live a debt free life. Thank you Mr. Grubea. Khan

Very poor guidance.

You will never get to speak to Mr. Grubea about issues regarding poor handling of your case, only to one of his staff that you never met. At the end of my bankruptcy I had to keep calling the office to get them to finalize the bankruptcy by sending a simple form out regarding child support I do not o...we, which from what I understand is a formal document required to end all bankruptcies. That took a long time to get done after several phone calls to office staff. After working to establish credit I purchased a new car and think things are going well. Then I receive a bill 8 months after my bankruptcy was finalized for over $78,000 with over $19,000 in interest! After my bankruptcy is finalized and I get this bill from someone I never heard of a lawyer I never met told me he explained student loans can not be discharged in bankruptcy (and in certain circumstance they can Mr. Grubea). I was told when I filed bankruptcy my student loans were dischargeable due to them being sold twice to private lenders and my being offered a $5000.00 loan many years after I graduated to use on anything I wanted not related to educational purposes. I was able to have my student loan discharged during my bankruptcy under the student loan forgiveness program but since it was (supposedly) discharged in bankruptcy I did not qualify. The attorney I dealt with is no longer with the firm and another lawyer I never met tried telling me this was discussed when I filed, it was not. I would have never filed bankruptcy if this wasn't included or at least would have made payments to not get a surprise like this! Now after bankruptcy I owe $20,000.00 more than when I filed. When I tried to rectify this with Mr. Grubea's office I was basically told to pound salt and just pay the bill. Now I have to hire a real lawyer to rectify this. Consultation, advise, and assistance post-discharge is too poor to risk having something like this happen to you. I am by no means rich and can not afford this unforeseen bill. I REPEAT, I WAS NEVER TOLD THIS WAS NOT DISCHARGED, IN FACT I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE IT WAS. I WAS TOLD "ALL" MY DEBTS WERE CLEARED. DO NOT HIRE THIS FIRM!

Horrible communication and guidance

After unexpectedly losing my job after delivering my youngest son I had no other choice but to file for Chapter 13. I researched the internet and community and was lead to Mr. Grubea's office. He suggested a strategy and payment plan which would be most beneficial to me and that I was pleased with.... However, after the initial court appearance I have not been able to get in contact with Mr. Grubea or his staff at all. I have had to communicate with the Trustee himself in order to clarify any errors (and there were many) and adjust any modifications that needed to be made. Emails went unanswered and telephone calls, although answered by the staff, were never returned like they promised to. I paid the attorneys fees for him to guide me through my Chapter 13 and it was the worst decision of my life. My recommendation would be to NOT hire Mr. Grubea's firm. He is absolutely awful.
