I retained Ms. Cohen for a bankruptcy. She was pleasant, helpful and knowledgable. Frankly, I'm surprised by some of the comments about Ms. Cohen not returning emails as she always responded to my calls and emails within 24 hours. Then again, they're anonymous. Most frustrating legal situation i have ever dealt with. Filed chapter 7, i did alot of running around getting our lawyer specific information that she requested, for her to only mix up our information with someone else's case. Sent us information on a vehicle that i never had or owned, said she ne...ver recieved paperwork that i specifically put in her hands, included a loan in our chapter 7 that i told her i wanted to pay off. She even instructed me to go to the county and ask for specific information that she needed so the loan wouldn't be included in my chapter 7. My wife and I told her I was the only one filing, for our attorney to put my wife's name on the paperwork . Luckily we caught her mistake . I said we because my wife helped me with organizing the paperwork and double checked everything.

I've seen the negative reviews by two people, but given the areas of law she practices, bankruptcy and family law, there are always going to be people who are unhappy about something.
