I hired Laurin to represent me in a child support case. In the beginning I felt confident that things would play out in my favor, but that slowly diminished over time. While I know that no one ever is exempt from paying child support, I felt that there was more that could have been done in my case. I did not feel she was listening to me during our initial appointment while going over all my concerns. On each court date, she was often running in at the last minute. I felt she should have been there early enough to go over what was taking place on that day. One court appointment she was very late. My scheduled court time had come and gone and she still wasn't there. I called her office and was told by the secretary that Laurin was headed to a different client but would be on the way. I was told by the judge that I could reschedule for another date or represent myself. I asked for a few more minutes so I could call Laurin's office. At that time, no one answered the phone even though only minutes later I spoke with her secretary. Finally, she showed up and said she was double booked. Basically, I paid a substantial amount of money to Laurin, only to be told by the judge, that I was going to be paying money. There was lack of interest in what I was telling Laurin regarding my situation and my complaint. I felt we went into the court house, flying by the seat of our pants. The information that she took from me as I was explaining to her was wrong. When we went into court Laurin started to fight for me, only to retract and say "we can probably settle this." I do not feel that anything that happened during all the different court dates were ever in my favor or best interest.

About 2 years ago I had the opportunity of meeting Attorney Haddad at a local cafe. I remember my first my first impression of her was "Wow, she must be pretty important. Everyone knows her, she was dressed very professional, very courteous, and personable." I assumed she was a political figure here in Central NY. Little did I know she was an attorney. And little did I know, I would need an attorney a year later.
Laurin and I sat down not only to talk about my situation but to also guide me with all the possibilities I were to face in the future. She told me from the beginning that it would not be an easy case, but that she would do everything in her power to get the outcome I was looking for. Ultimately leaving the decision up to me on which road we would take as a team in this proceeding.
Her diligence and knowledge of law made me feel optimistic and safe in her hands. The one characteristic that I find important in Laurin is her honesty. She did not simplify things and make promises that I was looking to hear. With a case such as mine, camouflaging the possible outcomes would have been a risk I was not prepared to take . The judge has not made his decision yet, but I am confident in her and her hardwork that she has put into this case. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking legal services based on her compassion, hardwork, knowledge, and litigation skills that I have experienced firsthand.
