I hired Laurin to represent me in a child support case. In the beginning I felt confident that things would play out in my favor, but that slowly diminished over time. While I know that no one ever is exempt from paying child support, I felt that there was more that could have been done in my case. I... did not feel she was listening to me during our initial appointment while going over all my concerns. On each court date, she was often running in at the last minute. I felt she should have been there early enough to go over what was taking place on that day. One court appointment she was very late. My scheduled court time had come and gone and she still wasn't there. I called her office and was told by the secretary that Laurin was headed to a different client but would be on the way. The information that she took from me as I was explaining to her was wrong. When we went into court Laurin started to fight for me, only to retract and say "we can probably settle this." I do not feel that anything that happened during all the different court dates were ever in my favor or best interest.
