We recommended an irrevocable trust to protect the proceeds of the sale and provide income to husband and wife, set up their trusted son as trustee, avoid probate, and allow their designee to have full authority in case of disability.
We filed a petition for guardianship, obtained an appropriate placement, and protected wife's assets in the process.
After an administrative hearing, a substantial portion of husband's income was directed first to his wife, and she was able to pay her bills and protect the value of their home.
