We came to Laura to help us deal with a case revolving around former tenants who we had to evict, due to failure to pay rent for several months. Unfortunately, after they move out, we found that they also destroyed the entire house. While it wasn't personal to her, she made it clear that she un...derstood how deeply personal it was to us. I knew right away that Laura wanted to do everything in her power to help us. Laura is very professional, smart, and doesn't mind the details. Throughout the case, as with many cases, there were moments when we were exhausted by the process. Laura on the other hand was steady the entire way. She never wavered from her desire to fight for us, to achieve the best outcome. She is calm, always listened carefully, tried to understand the complexities involved and cared very much about her work and us, as her clients. Personally, I found Laura to be a very easy person to talk with. Ask any question and she will either have the answer or go to work on getting that answer. She doesn't feed you a bunch of words that she thinks you want to hear. Instead, she aims to tell you the possibilities both good and bad. Her honesty is refreshing. Her in-depth knowledge of the law is broad and valuable. And her experience with mediation and negotiation, lends itself beautifully to the work she does. Sadly, our case was overseen by a judge that simply couldn't or wouldn't make decisions. He sat on his bench swaying back and forth on his thoughts, based on whim and not much on reason. His preference was simply to make attorneys work it out, outside of his courtroom. He wasn't willing to do what a judge is appointed to do - make a judgement. However, while this was frustrating and more than challenging, Laura rose to the occasion, time and time again. She was always very prepared to argue our side, with proof and she refuted any rebuttals from the other attorney with ease. She worked tirelessly within the courtroom and outside of the courtroom on our behalf. In the end, Laura made sure that we got the very best results possible.
