Eric Stephen Shiller

I contacted Mr. Schiller's office at 4:00 pm, the day before a court appearance that was almost 3 hours away from my home town. Mr. Shiller got back to me right away. He took his time to clearly explain the process and agreed to represent me. I can not emphasize the burden that he took off of my sho...ulders. He was true to his word and finalized my case within a day. I have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone who needs an attorney.

I chose Mr. Shiller after having a few terrible experiences with other attorneys! In my search I found a review that called him “Shiller the killer”. And I knew this is the guy I wanted in my corner! He is VERY straight forward, if your looking for a lawyer who’s going to tell you what you want to ...hear all butterflies and gumdrops he is not your guy! He’s going to tell you the hard facts! Before every appearance he broke down exactly what was going to happen and was right every time! I’m going into my 5th case with Shiller and I don't even have to question who to call, I recommend him every chance I get. Lawyers are expensive good lawyers are worth it! You absolutely get what you pay for! Shiller isn’t the cheapest but he’s also not the most expensive buttt he’s not going to waste your money you will get every pennies worth. I wouldn’t trust the fate of my children with anyone else!

Let me tell you, Mr. Shiller is honest and does a great job. I have no idea what these other folks are saying (notice they post ANONYMOUSLY because they are liars and do not want to be sued for lying and probably owe him money) because I have been going to Mr. Shiller for years for family court, for... traffic court - my family and friends go-- whenever we have an issue and he is courteous, knowledgeable, and does a great job. He is not a BSer, some timid meek guy who lets the other lawyers talk over him--and let me tell you, he makes his point and gets his way-- to your benefit. And he's worth the money.

Just days before going to trial, I was told by multiple other lawyers that I was basically screwed because Eric had done such little work to prepare. After firing Eric and hiring a replacement lawyer, the replacement had to completely pull the whole case because NOTHING had been done. When I say Noth...ing, I'm telling you that not a single subpoena had been filed, no discovery requested, NOTHING. Mind you, this is less than a week from the trial day where I was set to fight for my son. Fast forward.... I get my billing history from Eric. The man has charged out the ass for EVERYTHING, just so that he could keep the majority of my retainer. This man claims he charges $300 an hour but has the nerve to charge $100 to review an email or take a five minute phone call. Even my new lawyer that charges $375 an hour only charges $37 for reviewing an email. This guys a crook. He charged me almost $600 to appear in court for less than hour, a court date that he was over a half hour late for. Fast forward some more. Eric claims there was a little more than $300 of the retainer that was not used, that he HAS to return to me BY LAW. Now a month later... I'm still waiting for a check to come in the mail, Eric refuses to answer or return any of my calls or texts, and I'm now preparing to take legal action. It's not about the money, it's about principle. You pay a man up front for a service and you expect that service to be provided to you. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MAN TO ANYONE! IF YOU WANT A FAMILY COURT LAWYER WHO IS DRIVEN BY THE POWER OF FAMILY AND NOT THE POWER OF THE DOLLAR, THAN DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER!

I was super impressed with him more than any other lawyer I have dealt with. I got in trouble-- criminally. I got Mr. Shiller's name from the bar and called him along with 2 other morons. Here is my review. CONSULTATION: Mr. Shiller talked to me over a half hour and the other the other attorney'...s I called just gave me a price. They didn't want to sit and listen to me. Mr.Shiller told me the process and what I could expect courtwise, etc. He knew the judge I was going in front of and even knew the DAs. He made an appointment for me to come into the office and we talked even further. He was incredibly honest and straightforward. He walked me through the retainer and the charges expected. Note: I have gone to other attorneys and they just expect you to sign and do not want you to understand what you are signing, but he made sure I did. PRICE: Was he the cheapest of those I called? No, but then again he wasn't the most expensive. He was fair for what I was charged with, and I wasn't going to bargain hunt when its MY life at stake. Believe me, you do NOT want the cheapest lawyer on the block because they will lie and tell you they have experience but they don't. (Hence why they are so cheap!) COURT: Each time we went to court he made sure I knew what to expect. This is not like TV. Everything takes time...LOTS of time, and we had to go to court several times. In court, he was amazing, I swear it was like watching Law & Order. He is this big tall guy with a booming voice --Everyone listens when he talks. And he knows how to make sure that the DAs are not trying to play a game. RESULT: Mr. Shiller does not beat around the bust and told me things I did not want to hear, but you know what, he was RIGHT. He didn't just talk big to me on the phone, he delivered and the judge listened to him. Suffice to say I was super impressed with him and would recommend him to everyone if they want the RIGHT lawyer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
