I have a pretty extensive criminal history as well as a fairly extensive traffic ticket history. I have had my drivers license suspended 3 times, in July 2017 I was pulled over and issued my 3rd speeding ticket within an 18 month time period, this was a 4 point speeding ticket. At this time I also ha...d 8 points on my license already. This meant that If found guilty of speeding I would exceed the 11 points that constitute a 6 month minimum suspension on my license. It also meant that if I was found guilty, the dmv would automatically revoke my license (the law states 3 or more speeding convictions within 18 months is automatic revocation). So needless to say no matter what happened I needed this speeding ticket to be reduced to a non speed with no more then 2 points in order to keep my license uninterrupted. The court in halfmoon didnt want to hear it they refused to reduce it to anything less then a 3 point speeding ticket due to my extensive driving record. So I decided I would find the best rated traffic ticket attorney I could find in the area. I always do my research and my research brought me to Rakesh Joshi. Proved that the cause of my Driving Misdemeanor was just an (stupid) oversight on my part, and that I rectified the situation as soon as possible. Got my double misdemeanor down to a Non-moving violation. He is very clear, knowledgable, and charming. I live out of state and was camping in the Adirondacks where I got a UPM after getting pulled over because my friend rolled through a stop sign. Knowing nothing about the law in NY I was pretty freaked out. I was ready to just plead guilty and pay the fine to get it over with, but I tried calling a... few lawyers first to get a better idea of what I was getting into.
