Very happy with services- please take time to read my review

Once I saw these 1 star reviews I felt compelled to leave a well deserved 5 star review for Ms. Stiglmeier. I don’t know the details of these other reviewers cases but I do know life and I do know sometimes- actually a lot of times people don’t want to hear certain things or listen to people. Eileen ...has been practicing law for a very long time, she KNOWS the LAW. Now that could be good or bad for your ego if you aren’t open minded but hey she’s the lawyer right? Eileen will listen to your story but will then tell you straight facts. Some of them you may not like or want to hear but she’s been doing this for a very long time. Personally I would rather hear the truth and facts from my lawyer the person I’m hiring than to get into the court room unprepared or not understanding the law. Eileen manages your expectations very well. I truly feel that’s why she received some bad reviews because I had a great experience with her. I would also like to remind reviewers that she is practicing law in some really crappy situations ( Divorce and Family court) where there are no real winners. I’m sorry but that’s the truth. I learned so much about the law and the court system working with Eileen that I recommend her services. Have a consultation see if she would be a good fit for you. But remember you’re hiring a factual professional not a friend. By the way- I “won” my case. My ex had to pay what was due because it was the LAW. I went in there prepared because of Eileen and exactly what should have happened did. Did I want more? Of course who doesn’t want more from a deadbeat dad or ex that ruined their life or their child’s life. But you are only going to get what you’re legally entitled to in family court. And Eileen will make sure you get everything you’re entitled to by law. Remember what I said earlier? There are no real winners here? You also have to remember sometimes you have to negotiate in court cases give some to get some, and you can also have a judge that just doesn’t care. So manage your expectations realistically people. I think I’ve made my point and I hope people will consider this when considering Ms. Stiglmeier.

She will lose your case. Run!

All around horrible experience. If anything, she made things significantly worse for me and my children.

i Am Glad i did!!!

i am recently divorced , and although i didn't always like or understand Eileen's methods but am i glad that she didn't give up on me, After being displaced from my home for a year while another man lived in my house with my ex wife and her and his children as i payed the bills Eileen got me the ju...stice i deserved! when i thought the world was against me at my darkest moments in life she helped me pull thru! i still get emotional as i type this and talk about it today. she truly saved me! the system i felt (and still do) is broken! i am so lucky to have had the help of Attorney Eileen Marie Stiglmeier , who i can say has PROVED ME WRONG in my assumption that all lawyers are sharks and thieves she sure as hell IS NOT!

DO NOT HIRE

After a recommendation through an experienced family court attorney, I hired Ms. Stiglmeier after filing a petition to enforce a separation and opting out agreement that survived my divorce. A month after I filed this, my ex husband went to court and requested emergency custody on false allegations a...nd domestic violence allegations I had with another individual that did not occur when I had my children and my children never met this person. I contacted police and police did not arrest. Subsequently, attorney for the children and judge (agreeing with AFC, which is not allowed), said due to my “poor decision making I’m not having the man arrested.” My children were immediately removed from my physical custody with a no contact order and he received temporary full custody. Ms. Stiglmeier (I have full evidence to support these claims) told me to sign documents that the courts afterward deemed me to have waived my right to my $30,000 in maintenance, child support, and primary custody...she also caused me to miss an appearance in a support matter. She was always unavailable an in open court acknowledged not reading a significant part of my separation and opting out agreement specifically detailing custody, even though she charged me for review of such. 5 years later and I am still fighting for my children and the irreparable harm caused by her ineffective counsel. My ex husband would hold visitation against me if I didn’t sign subsequent agreements, and she never responded or defended such. My ex husband said he hoped she was stupid enough not to read the agreement and didn’t realize she actually was...

One star too high

If I could rate no stars that would be more accurate. Ms. Stiglmeier did irreparable damage after just 3 appearances in a custody case before I realized how incompetent she was and terminated her. My ex-husband had a history of domestic violence, alcohol abuse, guns in the home, an unstable job and... a great lawyer. I had a stable home and job, loving family, no history of drug or alcohol abuse, and Ms. Stiglmeier as my attorney. I lost custody of my 7 year old child due to her haphazard preparation for hearings and lack of knowledge of the family court system, especially in cases involving domestic violence. Her sister, Carol, is an excellent attorney and she relies on her reputation to gain clients.
