Rosemary Weaver McKenna

Rose is a long-time resident of the Capital Region.  She is a graduate of Albany Law School of Union University (J.D., cum laude, 1989) and the State University of New York at Albany (B.A., cum laude, 1984), where she concentrated in Spanish, with a double minor in German and Italian studies.  Rose was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1989 (now retired), the New York State Bar and United States District Court, Northern District of New York, in 1990 and the United States Tax Court in 1992.  Rose has earned an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating*, as established by confidential opinions from fellow members of the Bar and Judiciary in Martindale-Hubbell®.

Prior to joining Jones Hacker Murphy, LLP, Rose was affiliated with the law firm of Conway Love PLLC, providing comprehensive commercial legal services to business and charitable organizations.  Immediately prior to that, Rose most recently served as General Counsel and Senior Program Officer for Education for a private charitable foundation located in Clifton Park, New York, providing legal services to a variety of charitable organizations in the educational, medical and housing fields. 

For several years, Rose served on the Institutional Review Board for Ellis Hospital.  She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Visiting Nurse Service Association of Schenectady County, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York.  She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and a past member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Women’s Business Council of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Rose has served as an adjunct professor for the University at Albany Business School (Legal Challenges in Health Care) and at the College of St. Rose (International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, Business Law and the Regulatory Environment).
