Eric’s prior experience includes a diverse business law practice in Albany and the greater Capital Region handling a variety of matters for clients of all sizes. In addition, Eric previously worked with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, in the Division of Corporation Finance, Office of Small Business Policy, where he drafted small business compliance guides and directly assisted in providing entrepreneurs, businesses, and corporate attorneys with information on relevant securities law issues.

As a founding board member of a successful local business, Eric is uniquely able to identify with the entrepreneurial mindset and the challenges facing start-up businesses from inception to commercialization. Providing counsel regarding equity incentive compensation and creating an Incentive Stock Option Plan for a fast-growing Capital Region business.

Providing guidance and drafting documents for a private equity investment in a globally expanding local manufacturer.

Repeat customer

I retained Couch White as my legal counsel for my mobile app business. I had the pleasure of collaborating with Eric directly for all of my legal needs. I needed a complex venture agreement drafted, and Eric stepped up the challenge. I was particularly impressed by Eric's breadth of knowledge in startup, business, and IP law, all of which came through in this venture agreement. I demanded a lot, and Eric was patient with me through the entire process. Eric also provided great advice and ultimately helped me craft an agreement that met my needs. While we never met face to face, I really enjoyed working with Eric. He has a very positive attitude and works very hard to build a personal relationship with his clients.

Young & Great

I was looking for a lawyer who was not too expensive but had the abilities to help me register my Delaware Corporation as an non-US resident promoter. While some of the lawyer I tried earlier were not responsive at all, at my first contact with Eric, he was ready and eager to work with me to set the company up and gave me free advice as to how to go about it. He was very professional and completed is job in very good time for me and also helped me to obtain my EIN. For this I give him the topmost grade and will continue to work with him to grow the business internationally. His Fees? very reasonable and moderate. While we agreed on an hourly rate at the beginning, at the end of the work he felt that it was more appropriate to charge and flat rate which I agreed with him and it was just kuul. Do try him out if you're looking for a young professional lawyer eager to work with his clients. You will Love working with Eric

Legal Partner for Your Business

Eric assisted us with the legal work required to properly structure our DE based C-corp and close our first convertible note and sale of equity. He is extremely knowledgeble in security based transactions and any aspects of corporate governance. Excellent M&A Work

We hired Eric to complete a difficult M&A transaction. Eric went way above and beyond, negotiated for us, got the other attorney to be more reasonable, and got us a fantastic deal. AngelList syndicate and Angel Fund

We hired Eric for a couple business formation projects, one of which was launching an Angel Fund that would be syndicated on AngelList. Eric provided a very competitive and transparent outline of his fees, and we really liked his background with the SEC -- something we didn't see with other attorneys. Eric has always been very responsive throughout our entire engagement, despite that fact that he's a busy guy and we're well aware that we aren't his only client (but he does a great job of making you feel like you are). We're continuing to use Eric for the ongoing Angel Fund in addition to other projects. Aside from the professionalism and expertise, he's just a fun guy to have on your team.
