About Robert
Biography
Robert H. Montefusco graduated Cum Laude from Touro Law School. He was a recipient of the American Excellence Award for Family Law and Evidence, and was a member on the Dean's List and Law Review. He is a former prosecutor for the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
Mr. Montefusco concentrates his practice in Matrimonial and Family law. He is a very experienced and determined trial attorney, having conducted hundreds of trials and/or hearings.
He is well known for his highly aggressive and competitive style in the court room. Mr. Montefusco has the personal and life experience necessary to intimately understand your concerns.
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Montefusco augments his education by routinely attending Continuing Legal Education seminars on the latest updates and trends in the law. He is an active participant in the Suffolk County matrimonial bar mentoring program providing legal advice to less experienced attorneys.
He has been a guest lecturer at Touro Law Center relating to issues of criminal procedure and practice and has been featured in Touro Law Center’s recruiting literature. He has also appeared on News12 and been quoted in various newspapers.
Mr. Montefusco is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
