Robert is truly one in a million!!

“Robert and his staff have always went above and beyond for me throughout every step of my brutal divorce and custody process. My case is currently still open and we are in 3 court rooms. Robert is exceptionally educated, experienced, and understanding when it comes to matrimonial law. The past 2 yea...rs of my life have been the most darkest and at times unbearable because of the mistake I made in choosing the wrong partner. At times, I would call their office literally 3-4 times A DAY panicking, stressing, obsessing, and mostly crying. I never felt I was annoying them or a nuisance; they were ALWAYS there for me. Robert is not only my attorney, many times he acts as my therapist and calms me down and subsides my fears. Maureen was there beside me to sign the papers to file for the hardest decisions of my life and she always helped in making the process as smooth and seamless as possible. Hope is an amazing asset as well. She is always there to answer any questions I have and always was an extra pair of ears for me to vent to. In choosing this law firm you not only get an amazingly experienced attorney, you get a FIGHTER. Robert defends and protects me aggressively and passionately every single court appearance. For the first time in my life I have absolutely NO FEAR walking into the courtrooms ever anymore because HE is by my side. I am confident that I not only have an amazing group of people working on my case every day, but I have found friends for the rest of my life. The words Thank You will never be enough for what each of them have done for me during this difficult time in my life. I truly wish I was able to give more than 5 stars because the entire office deserves much more than 5. I honestly do not know where my life would be if I chose a different attorney. I am so grateful I made the right decision in choosing Robert to be my voice.

Way overrated

Upon hiring Robert to handle my divorce, his first task was to try and reverse a stay away order my wife obtained, while stay away orders can get complicated, when you have one against you and your spouses lawyer offers to reduce it to a refrain from order, that's a gift, (huge difference and would ...have been highly beneficial to me so I could maintain the marital residence) he guided me towards challenging the order, and explained that the worst outcome would be a reduction to a refrain from but we could probably get the stay away order totally dropped. Such a bad route to take. Terrible impact on me and my family as it resulted in a longer term stay away leaving me unable to access or maintain my home and he charged me a bundle. I terminated his services. There are certain gestures, comments people make as you get to know them that truly speak to their character and motivation.

A good man

Robert is a great attorney and helped me not only get through a tough divorce, but ground my way of thinking and helped me around other divorce issues that spin off of this miserable event. I value that significantly. After 20 plus years of a first and failed marriage, without going into details, I a...m glad he was recommended to me. He's got balls and toughness, and says it straight, and will protect you. That's what you want. I'm still recovering and still owe money but recovering with a bright future, and thankful we crossed paths.

What you expect from an Attorney.

I never thought that I would ever need a Matrimonial Attorney. I had what was thought to be a great marriage. A loving wife, 2 great kids, a fantastic job. A good life! The story I am about to tell you speaks of Robert Montefusco’s professionalism, his character , his compassion and the empathy... he displayed to me during the most tumultuous time of my life. After 27 years of marriage my wife went through a change of life and decided she no longer wanted to be married. She created a divide with my sons and during the same time I was diagnosed with a life threating illness. All this while holding an executive level position in a very complex and stressful industry. The pressure of all of this was more than I could handle. No matter how hard I tried to resolve any issues with the marriage things just kept getting worse. I couldn’t go on like this any further. A very close friend who was an attorney highly recommended that I speak with Robert. At the first consultation with Robert and his assistant Maureen their only concern was my health. His empathetic concern for my wellbeing really showed how human he was. It wasn’t until two months after I was released from the hospital that I elected to engage Robert to represent me and file for divorce. Although I am not an attorney, I deal with a lot of contact, intellectual capital and real-estate attorneys regularly and I’m a pretty good judge of character. Robert’s representation of me was outstanding! My former wife went through three attorneys running up and enormous bill on her side seeking the most unreasonable and outlandish request you could think of. Robert’s words to me was “always wear the white hat”. Maintain your integrity and credibility at all times. This goes to his character and sense of fairness. Although he is compassionate and empathetic it cannot be confused for tenacity and resilience in the courtroom. Robert is not a stranger to arguing a motion. An added benefit that helped with my selection of Robert was his prior background as a Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney. His reputation and his sense of fair sensible play are definitely known by his colleagues and the Judges he stands before. Roberts Assistant Maureen and his Associate Megan are an extension of himself unifying his practice. I wouldn’t want to see anyone have to endure what I did. Going through what I went through with another attorney I don’t believe would have had the same outcome. I highly recommend Robert and his team. Robert D.

Highly Recommended

Mr Montefusco and his assistant were and continue to be excellent. They have the ability to take the complexities of divorce and all of the legal jargon and make it all manageable. They are wonderfully patient during difficult times and have always guided me in a helpful manner. Mr Montefusco has the... right amount of pitbull in him and uses it when the opportunity requires. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done during the agreement and trial process.
