Latoya Roberta-Angela James

LaToya James came highly recommended when I needed a Family Lawyer for my custody case. Later I needed her for a Criminal case and was happy she represented me for that to. Words can not describe how amazing she is. I saw LaToya was well respected by other Lawyers and more importantly Judges. She tel...ls you how it is and whats going to happen. LaToya was very responsive to my phone calls and emails. Her rates were very affordable and she is there to win and fast. LaToya is very friendly and listened to me and asked what I wanted her to do .I would and have left my life in LaToya's hands. You would have to be crazy not to hire LaToya ! She went beyond what she had to. Looking for different angles. Which I would of never considered that worked ! I consider LaToya a true friend and that's how she makes you feel. I felt completely relaxed knowing there will be no surprises. If you want to win I would highly recommend LaToya James. I would say the best word to describe her is Tenacious !

I cannot thank Latoya James enough for helping me get a through a very difficult time in my life. My husband passed away from a drug overdose while we were separated. We had a 3 year old daughter together. There had been a lack of trust and communication with his parents before and after he had pa...ssed away. This lead to me taking a break from his parents seeing my daughter. During that time, they sued me for grandparent’s rights. I always wanted them in her life, we just had to get to a place where we can heal and trust again. With Latoya’s support and guidance, visits slowly happened between my daughter and them. We eventually settled with a schedule that works for my daughter, myself, and them. We are now beginning the healing processes. Latoya was amazing. She was very upfront from the beginning and I always felt she had my back. She always responded to my messages right away. You don’t find many Lawyers like her. She is someone who will fight for you and also be that shoulder to cry on. I’m very lucky I had her by my side.

I was currently going through an extremely messy case with my child's father and Latoya literally came in and cleaned it up for me. I was going through a custody/visitation case and with my ex and it was going horribly for me not because I'm a bad parent but because I had hired a legal aid to represe...nt and and he almost ruined my life and I was maybe a court date away from losing my child all together to someone who only wanted her for personal motive. My mother actually referred me to Latoya and I knew from the first conversation we had that she was going to turn this entire court case around for the good. She sat on the phone with me as I explained to her my situation and was very understating but she was HONEST. My ex got an order of protection against me and had me thrown out of my house based on lies. I had no access to my kids or my stuff. It was a complete nightmare. My friend found Latoya James on line and suggested that I call. A week later we met and I hired her. She handled the order of protection, t...he criminal contempt- cause I was arrested , the custody and the child support cases. Ms. James completely demolished my ex and her lawyer at trial. It was so obvious that she was lying. Ms. James went after her and stood up to her in a way I never could have on my own. She started out all sweet, trying to work out an agreement, but when she realized my ex was unreasonable and a liar, all the niceness went out the door. When you're a guy in family court , you know your gonna get screwed but I didn't , I'm back in my house, the ex is out, criminal charge dismissed, I got custody of my kids and she pays me child support. I can't say thank Ms. James enough, I thought my life was ruined but now it's better than I expected. Ms James is worth every penny, you definately get what you pay for with her! Don't be stupid , don't believe people when they say you don't need a lawyer, that's BS, don't take a court appointed lawyer, hire a good lawyer and get it done right.
