John Joseph Fellin

John J. Fellin is a partner with the firm and concentrates in the areas of Matrimonial and Family Law. Mr. Fellin’s breadth and depth of experience in negotiating settlements, coupled with his trial skills, has yielded the highest level of advocacy on behalf of his clients.

Mr. Fellin has dedicated his legal career to helping clients navigate the difficult and often emotional issues and challenging family relationships that invariably arise in both the dissolution of a marriage and in other family-related legal proceedings. John is a highly skilled negotiator and experienced litigator who works closely with clients to identify their goals and develop strategies that effectively and efficiently meet their objectives.

Mr. Fellin strives to resolve issues in an effort to avoid costly, lengthy and emotionally-driven litigation. However, when settlement is not practical or possible, he will vigorously litigate the matter to obtain the best possible result for his client in the courtroom.

John’s range of representative clients includes high net worth individuals, public figures, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, professionals and business owners and their spouses. His experience and legal acumen are complemented by his fellow partners and associates who concentrate in federal and state court practice, civil and commercial litigation, transactional business matters, criminal defense and appellate advocacy, yielding a broader base of experience on which to draw in negotiating and litigating complex financial divorce matters.

As an active Touro law school alum and frequent lecturer before the Suffolk County Bar Association, John frequently guest lectures on family law matters at events attended by both law school students and seasoned practitioners alike.

John is a member of the New York State, Nassau County and Suffolk County Bar Associations. John is the incoming President of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association, is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association Membership Committee, and was recently named to serve as a member of the Executive Board of the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section. He resides on Long Island with his Wife and children.
