David Joseph Sobel

I have developed a legal career in all areas of litigation and trial work including personal injury defense, insurance claims, vehicular, construction site and premises liability claims. In addition, I provide representation to clients with respect to their insurance, corporate and contractual needs.

I have served as the co-chair of the Suffolk County Bar Association Supreme Court Committee, the Professional Ethics Committee and the Defendant’s Negligence Committee. I have  been an active member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and have lectured on various ethics and No-Fault insurance related subjects. I have been quoted in the Long Island Edition of the New York Law Journal and have served as an Officer of the Suffolk County Bar Association Academy of Law. I have served as a member of the Supreme Court Committee, the Defendant’s Negligence Committee, the Professional Ethics Committee and the Judicial Screening Committee.

I was admitted to the New York State Bar and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts in 1987. I am also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Claims and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. In addition, I am a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association.

I received my Juris Doctor Degree from Ohio Northern University in 1985 and I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Adelphi University in 1982.
