Jessica Smith received her bachelor’s degree in 2009 from Hofstra University (B.A., Political Science). She received her J.D. in 2012 from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. Ms. Smith was admitted to practice in New York State in 2013. In 2017 and 2018, Ms. Smith was selected to the New York Metro Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers Magazine.
Prior to joining Slater Slater Schulman, Ms. Smith was an associate at a well-respected mass tort firm located in New York, New York.
Ms. Smith is active in the Firm’s mass tort practice, concentrating in the areas of pharmaceutical liability and defective medical devices. She is currently representing clients with injuries from prescription drugs, such as Invokana and Xarelto, and defective devices, such as Transvaginal Mesh. Ms. Smith is also actively litigating cases regarding plaintiffs who suffered from various types of injuries related to the horrific events of September 11, 2001.
