Shawn Richard Kassman

Mr. Kassman is a great attorney backed by an incredible staff who work really hard. We had a horrible tenant that had to be evicted in Suffolk County and Mr. Kassman laid out a plan and executed on it flawlessly. He took dozens of phone calls, and so did his staff from us and reassured us throughout ...the entire process. We are really grateful. Looking forward to using him for other needs that we have because he’s full service. We got the eviction and we got our lives back and we owe it all to Mr. Kassman and has a great team. Shout out Mara - she is incredible. Highly recommend using them don’t even hesitate. This is a great choice for an attorney who is very well seasoned on long island law, courts, judges and the complex process of ny law.

I paid Shawn Kassman $1300 dollars upfront to evict a tenant from beginning to end of the legal process. The day of court Shawn never showed up, instead he sent an assistant who I believe was an attorney. We came to a stipulation settlement with the tenant which was worked out over a painful period o...f time because the assistant couldn't comprehend what was going on. In the end the tenant didn't keep to the agreement and part of my agreement with Shawn was that he would finish it from beginning to end. So now months later he has to submit affidavit of non-compliance. Which he does but its incoherent, illegible, and his math in the figures do not add up correctly. So being, the court rejects it. When I explained to Shawn what he did wrong he became belligerent and defensive. In our texts he refused to re-do the affidavit and and he threatened me with arrest saying I was harassing him when all I wanted him to do was comply with our agreement. This kind of behavior should not come from a person who is supposed to be an officer of the court. I don't believe anyone should have to go through this. My advice to everyone reading this is steer clear from this man. The final result of all this was that I had to retain another attorney.

Our consultation was 35 minutes. We were interested in evicting a problem tenant. He demanded cash as payment. We went from his office to subway for lunch during which time our tenant agreed to our terms. We were back in his office in less than two hours for a refund and that's when the fun started. ...He first said he would keep 100, we reminded him of the free consultation then he switched and said he'll give us back 150. He then said to leave and come back tomorrow and proceeded to call the cops. We worked with the police to recover 250 of our stolen money. Shawn did not render any service other than having his secretary print out one form. Bottom line. Steer away...
