Forever Grateful

I’ve known Eric Horn for more than a decade now and I would recommend his firm to ANYONE. He did an amazing job completing my permanent residency back in 2010. He’s profesional, does his job extremely well and has a great personality. I’ve now hired him to complete my citizenship and I have no doubt ...that the process will be seamless. If you need an experienced, knowledgeable and kind hearted immigration lawyer, Eric Horn and his staff are undoubtedly the firm for the job! Thank you Eric!

Horrible

Eric Horn has been my lawyer for the past year, and I can truly say that he is possibly the worst lawyer I've ever come across. If you expect any communication on behalf of him or his staff, then you can forget about that ever happening. They are rude, obnoxious, and have a sense of supremacy when yo...u speak with them. The only staff member that will treat you with respect is Claudia who is currently a paralegal there. You constantly have to chase him and the rest of his staff to find out information on your case because they will never contact you. If you expect to speak to him directly, you can forget about that unless you go in person, and I suggest you take something to read because its an hour wait minimum on a slow day. I have yet to see any results on my case but I have to listen to him ask for money everytime I go and speak to him in person. If you want to waste your time, be disrespected, belittled, waste time and money, then I truly recommend Eric Horn and his team.

This comment disappoints and frankly offends me, assuming it comes from a real client. (It could be someone who asked for the name who he/she was speaking with, which could have been Claudia.) If this is a real, existing client, I recommend that the person come and speak with me. The wait time to see me in the office, if any, is usually under 30 minutes and almost never an hour. Some people insist on being the first appointment, which is fine. However, we have appointments available on the weekend and after 5pm during the week so we can better serve our clients; the weekend and after four during the week are generally busier. And I always see the clients for as long as they need, which is why there can be a wait. I also offer a payment plan for almost all of my cases. Almost all of my clients prefer payment plans, but my office and the client are both supposed to honor the contract. Though it rarely happens, the most common reason an application is not sent around the time when the client thinks it should is because either we are waiting on documents and/or payment from the client. Finally, you mention about only being able to speak to me if you come in person. That is usually not a requirement. Most clients I am perfectly happy to speak with over the phone or by email. However, it is a requirement if you are being rude to the staff.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
