Richard F. Corrao is an experienced litigator and dedicated child advocate attorney who received his Juris Doctor from New York Law School and his Bachelors of Science from the New York Institute of Technology. Admitted to practice in the State of New York and the federal U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Richard is a member of the New York State Bar Association and its Elder Law and Special Needs Sections, and was a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates ("COPAA") and the National Allies for Parents in Special Education ("NAPSE"). From there, he acted as Director and chief in-house legal counsel to a national provider of audit and investigatory services, representing government entities in recovering millions of dollars in unclaimed property from corporations on behalf of state citizens.
Richard resides on Long Island with his wife and two children. He is a member of his local Property Owners Association and Historical Society. As an attorney with a family member within the special needs community, he brings added passion and insight to the representation he provides families.
