Michael Ferrara Fleming

In September 2009, Michael F. Fleming joined TSA Management, Inc. as a Portfolio Manager.  He manages client portfolios as well as their financial and estate planning efforts.  In addition, Mr. Fleming administers the TSA separately managed account program and is actively involved in Halliday Private Trust.

Prior to TSA Management, Mr. Fleming was a Portfolio Manager and Vice President of Furgueson Capital Management as well as a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee. While at Furgueson, Mr. Fleming advised clients on a wide array of estate planning and trust administration topics as well as serving as the Chief Compliance Officer.  In September 2005, he joined Furgueson Capital Management after working 3 years for The Bank of New York.  

While at The Bank of New York, Mr. Fleming managed The Hamilton Group, as a Vice President, which consisted of a team of 8 trust professionals and 2 administrators.  The group invested and administered over 2,000 trust accounts with total assets in excess of $800 million.  While at the Bank, he also served on the Trust Investment Committee, Trust Administration Committee and personally managed over $150 million in trust assets. 

Prior to The Bank of New York, Mr. Fleming spent over 7 years with U.S. Trust Company serving 5 years in the Personal Custody Group and 2 years with the Wealth Advisory Group handling the investment management and administration of trust accounts in excess of $250 million.

Before joining U.S. Trust Company, Mr. Fleming served with the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant (j.g.) aboard the USS Clifton Sprague (FFG-16) in Mayport, Florida. In 1993, Mr. Fleming graduated from The American University with a major in Economic Theory.  In 2001, he earned a law degree from Pace University and is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut.  He is a member of the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations.
