Ms. Rosenthal’s extensive estate planning practice is designed to help assure that the client’s wishes with respect to the disposition of assets are followed, taking into account tax laws. In addition, she represents clients in the probate process.
Ms. Rosenthal also has unparalleled experience representing companies and individuals in such areas as forming new business entities, drafting form contracts, and writing and negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers, publishers and others; and buying and selling assets, stock and other ownership interests. In her commercial real estate practice, Ms. Rosenthal represents landlords and tenants in lease negotiations and buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of real estate. She also advises brokers, lenders, mortgage brokers and real estate appraisers on real estate matters. Her highly skilled drafting and negotiation abilities have enabled her to obtain substantial concessions from opposing parties, including multinational corporations and Fortune 100 companies.
In her residential real estate practice, Ms. Rosenthal advises purchasers, sellers and lenders of residential properties, including houses and cooperative and condominium apartments. Deborah Rosenthal is a widely respected authority in the area of residential real estate transactions and is considered to be one of the best lawyers in Great Neck, Roslyn and Manhasset and a top lawyer in Nassau County.
Deborah graduated from Wellesley College, cum laude, in 1984 and from Cornell Law School, magna cum laude, in 1987 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1988. She also has an LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law. She received the following honors in law school: Order of the Coif and Am Jur award for Commercial Law. After working at three New York City law firms and serving as Assistant General Counsel of a multinational corporation for over 5 years, she opened her own practice in 2002, where she practices in the areas of wills, trusts and estates, guardianships, probate and administration, corporate and real estate. She is Past President of the New York Women’s Bar Association. She just completed a one year term as Treasurer of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, and currently serves as the Vice President of that organization.
