Very disappointed

As the plaintiff and non-monied spouse in my divorce action, I was very disappointed that it took ten months after retaining Mr. Potruch for him to bring a motion for interim support. I found him totally unsympathetic, uninterested in my case and preoccupied with his own personal problems. His bill...s after ten months of work topped $33,000. I was forced to take him to fee arbitration which fortunately shaved several thousand off the bill.

The timesheets maintained by the office (and the billings) showed that I met with her, as well as my partner, on numerous occasions. At no point did I ever discuss any of my personal life with her. It was she (who earned in excess of $115,000 annually) who did not want to file a motion for support given that her husband, who reported far less than she, was involved in numerous financial/business transactions in New York and Israel. She had minimal knowledge of his finances and could barely supply us with any information. After the initial conference with the court, the former had indicated that the status quo should remain the same given that both of the parties were paying for all of the needs of the children and that our client was not entitled to an award of maintenance.
