Wonderful guy and great lawyer

He helped me settle my divorce from a failed marriage. He tells it like it is and helped me bring my life back together in such a short time. I had a lot of questions and he was very patient with me and guided me through the whole process and kept me sane through a mind wrecking divorce. Thank you Ma...rio!

The right choice!!

I retained Mr. DeRossi after initially hiring an attorney who was more interested in collecting fees rather than resolving my divorce. Mario is an absolute professional. He is very knowledgeable in the law, but more impressive is his knowledge of the process and priorities to expeditiously navigate ...through the arduous divorce process. He is straight forward and considerate with a solid moral compass; can not say that for many.

Highly Recommended

Mario provided excellent counsel. His knowledge about the law is spot on; his communication and clarity is terrific; his pragmatism is superb; and he is an awesome litigator. Mario helped me (on several topics) from beginning to (successful) conclusion. We dealt with child support and child visita...tion issues. We dealt with petitions, motion practice, and a trial. He was collaborative, supportive, and went well beyond his job spec when I needed it. He always put my best interests first and constantly checked-in with me to ensure we were aligned. My only regret is that I didn’t find/hire him sooner.

Disappointed by his tone

I had a consultation with Mr Rossi. He's the 5th lawyer I spoke to regarding filing my divorce case. I had to end the call after barely 7 mins so I could burst into tears. And I am not even exaggerating - if I were I would give 0 zero stars. But that's not my style and I never review anything...unle...ss it's really so horrible. I went in hopeful from the other reviewers looking for a caring, compassionate listening ear. I have no problem hearing the truth, but there is a way to communicate that. I even stopped him to try to tell him that I am on a 'low day' - for anyone having suffered adultery in their marriage, you know what I am talking about. To have a divorce attorney be so oblivious to the psychological and mental stress one goes through in this state is seriously alarming. He went on and on (on the phone it sounded like he was yelling at me and it felt like I'm a 5th grader who did not deserve to be picked for the running team and he's giving me the reasons why). 'Why can't you go out and work, why should he support you now'. I even tried to respond that yes I will of course, once my visa allows me to. I was made to feel so worthless and that too, without hearing even 5% of my story - where the marriage broke down, why do I think what I think. But we never even got to these points because he had to say what's on his mind with me as a client, having not even given him the abc of our marriage yet. He was on his own train that that's the law in NY - something that no other attorney had said before (and again, even if it us, there is a way to say that.) Because they bothered to listen further to my story and find out why exactly things are where they are and why life in every which way has shut down on me through the deeds on my estranged husband. I am trying to put it as his having a bad day or for some reason he had a beef with me although it was our first time speaking. Nevertheless, Mr DeRossi, please do not yell and talk down to a client. It's bad business ethics in this line of work. On the other hand, his office staff were courteous and respectful.

Best Matrimonial Attorney Ever!

I hired Mario to handle my divorce since I was seeking a "straight shooter" who would be direct and honest in explaining matrimonial law to me, and who would be a strong negotiator for settlement purposes. Mario was the perfect attorney for the job. He walked me through the legal process, as a wonder...ful attorney and as a friend, making sure I understood the issues every step of the way.
