Bonnie Mohr Jan is a matrimonial and family law attorney because the shoe fits. Bonnie utilizes her intuition and empathy to guide her clients through any number of complex legal issues that usually have a fundamental base in people and their tendencies. This intuition allows Bonnie to guide her clients to decisions that work. For example, Bonnie coached a wife to waive any interest she may have in her husband's business if he waived any interest he may have in her retirement account because he poorly ran his business and the business documents clearly were never going to be available. You cannot determine the value of a business if the business cannot produce the business records. Bonnie has guide individuals to litigation where a spouse is never going to commit to a decision and mediation or negotiation just will not work if the parties cannot make a decision. Bonnie has also helped her client's structure parenting plans that fit a lifestyle and minimize a parent's "failings". For example, if a noncustodial parent is never going to take the children to a Saturday morning activity, then the parenting exchange should happen after the Saturday morning activity except to accommodate special weekend plans.

Bonnie is the mother of two young children. Hobbies now include Legos, trains, dolls and My Little Pony. Once upon a time Bonnie was an avid reader, a martial artist and occasionally found time to ride a horse.
