A wolf in Sheep’s clothing

This lawyer will charm you and ‘yes’ you to death on your initial consultation. You will think that she will go to ‘bat’ for you. Once she has you as a client, her demeanor will change to a cold, crass, inaccessible lawyer who is incapable of empathy or caring. You can count on her not returni...ng calls ..you can count on her not doing her homework ..bullying you and finally ..taking your money and then not fighting on your behalf. If she had a shred of decency or honor she would and could have advised this client that their particular case did not warrant using a lawyer but instead she collected 10,000 dollars and then requested additional money...despite the fact that their was a cap on the fee .

Her assistance hurt me

I hired Alyssa because she has experience and knowledge and comes across warmly and intelligent. However, she forgot to submit necessary documents into evidence; had inaccurate data in her papers; and didn't prepare me for trial. She also oversimplified the strategy we needed to emphasize trial. Thi...s resulted in an inaccurate representation of the facts and a judgement against my credibility. She does not apologize for wrong doing and pushed back against my attempts at being prepared for court.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
