4 Years of Delays Just to Plead Guilty — Completely Misleading Experience

Extremely disappointing experience with this traffic ticket lawyer. He outright told me he would get the ticket dismissed. Instead, over the course of 4 years, all that happened was repeated hearing postponements — the case was rescheduled 4 separate times with no real defense or progress made. Af...ter dragging the case out for years, he ultimately just pleaded guilty at the hearing, which resulted in me having to pay the fine and take the points on my license anyway. If this was going to be the outcome, I could have handled it myself without wasting years and legal fees. The entire experience felt misleading and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering hiring this lawyer ask very specific questions about their actual legal strategy instead of relying on promises of dismissal.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
