I am very ecstatic on the positive outcome of my case with the Law Offices of David Hernandez and Associates. Mr. Hernandez was very assertive, professional, compassionate, and respectful. I was especially impressed with the handling of a large majority of the paperwork that was handled online, that ...saved a lot of time allowing my case to move forward in minimal time. He was always available on my schedule which ensured that I did not miss too much work or physical therapy time. His office is centrally located in Brooklyn easily reached by public transportation, although finding parking was tough, I found it easier using public transportation. I highly recommend Mr. Hernandez and Associates to all my family and friends.

When it comes to legal representation I felt as if general knowledge was not enough! WARNING I feel it is my civic responsibility (and 1st amendment right) to share MY experience as a WARNING to my FELLOW CITIZENS so they DO NOT suffer, as I have, FINANCIAL LOSSES & EMOTIONAL DISTRESS at the of the law office of David J. Hernandez! Since June of 2015 I have been represented ...by Andrea Hoyos, previously employed as an attorney with Mr. Hernandez, in a case that has affected me physically, emotionally, and financially. In December 2015 (my 4th time to appear since June), 1 hour before a scheduled “mediation conference”, I fainted from pre-court anxiety, slamming my face into a table as I fell, leaving a 1” gash on my face, leaving a permanent scar. I arrived late to court as a result, but luckily I arrived to find that the judge had set 2 TRIAL DATES to ENSURE my case would BE HEARD. 7 months later (July 13th), THE DAY BEFORE COURT I texted Ms. Hoyos “See you in court tomorrow.” That’s when I learned she was no longer with Mr. Hernandez’s firm and Mr. Hernandez had barred my attorney from contacting me! HERE I WAS, THE DAY BEFORE COURT & THE PERSON I TRUSTED TO HELP ME WASN’T GOING TO BE THERE!? I asked Ms. Hoyos if she could represent me. She said yes, but she could not be in court the next day due to other client obligations. She even suggested I stay with whomever had been assigned to my case. I didn’t even know yet MR. HERNANDEZ HAD NOT ASSIGNED ANYONE TO MY CASE! She knew how long I had waited to see the judge, and knew how much it mattered to me that this case be over with, and that my life go back to normal again which is why she was even willing to make the suggestion! But I needed Ms. Hoyos. She knew my case and had seen first-hand my suffering. And she, like I, wants to see justice prevail! But to hire her, I would have to terminate my contract with Mr. Hernandez’s firm and go to court THE NEXT DAY and ASK THE JUDGE, ON MY OWN, FOR AN ADJOURNMENT! The judge was not pleased at my request, but she granted what’s called a “conference.” This is where both attorneys meet at the courthouse to set and agree to A NEW TRIAL DATE. (Already I’ve spent over $500 for this 1 meeting!) AND JUST LIKE THAT, THE LAW OFFICE OF DAVID J. HERNANDEZ COST ME my 2 LONG-AWAITED TRIAL DATES! MY CASE COULD HAVE BEEN HEARD THAT DAY! Now COSTING me UNFORSEEABLE ADDITIONAL legal fees! After A MONTH OF CALLING Mr. Hernandez’s office to request partial refund, to help cover some of these additional legal fees, I got ZERO CALL BACKS. Frustrated, I typed up a version of this flyer to share my story and faxed it to them. THAT’S WHEN HE CALLED and FINALLY agreed to meet with me on August 23rd… MORE THAN A MONTH LATER! THIS IS WHEN I LEARNED THE FOLLOWING: In Mr. Hernandez’s own words “ [I] was lucky [I] called [his] office on the 13th or else [my] whole case would have went totally under [their] radar” No one had been assigned my case and I would have gone to court that day clueless and alone! – His excuse was he mistakenly filed my case under “criminal” thereby preventing Ms. Hoyos from contacting me. Still doesn’t explain why NO ONE AT HIS FIRM CONTACTED ME IN THE 6 MONTHS THEY HAD TO DO SO In that same meeting Mr. Hernandez HIMSELF WAS RUDE, SPOKE OVER ME, refused to let me borrow a pen, refused to answer even the simplest of questions, and expressed a complete disregard for me as a PERSON, as a human being, a citizen, & once-client. AFTER THAT MEETING they had their attorney Mark A. Longo of the LAW OFFICES OF LONGO & D’ASPICE, send a letter suggesting that I would be risking “legal ramifications” by sharing my story! I SIMPLY CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THEY DO THIS TO PEOPLE & GET AWAY WITH IT!!! AND I HOPE AND PRAY NO ONE ELSE SUFFERS AS I HAVE Even as I handed flyers out with the above info, Mr. Hernandez himself approached me and laughed mockingly then began to accost me before a friend of his came and told him to walk away. Sure, he has a right to do that I suppose, but is this right?

David is a great lawyer! I had a previous lawyer on my case that wasn't trust worthy. My mom introduced me to David to take over my case, and its the best decision I've made! I'm young and this is my first case, so I didn't want to feel like I was being taken advantage of. He was very welcoming, and... understanding of my situation. I feel a sense of comfort when I come to the law firm. Even if it's not about legal matters, I was able to call David just for personal advice. In the courtroom, his decisions were always made with my best interest in mind. I have and will continue to recommend David to anyone who need a great lawyer!
