David Kohina

David Kohina is the founding principal of Kohina Law Firm, Pllc. Admitted to the New York Bar in 2010, he focuses on immigration, real estate, and business law. Mr. Kohina practices all areas of immigration and naturalization law including family and employment, business cases, temporary and immigrant visas, naturalization, refugee and asylum law. In addition, David Kohina offers legal services related to residential and commercial real estate transactions such as closings, deed transfers, lease reviews and drafting as well as representation during legal disputes between landlords and tenants.

Being an immigrant himself, David Kohina decided to attend law school and become an attorney as a way to give back, inspire and motivate others to follow their American dream. As an immigrant, his unique understanding and personal affinity towards others undergoing the immigration process often translates into a personal connection and exceptional service to his clients.

Trilingual attorney David Kohina can assist and explain immigration/real estate law to clients in  Russian, Hebrew and English. Additionally, he can translate legal documents and, if allowed, attend citizenship interviews with clients as an interpreter.

David also brings to his clients an extensive background in business and international commerce. He has served in various high-level executive positions in multi-national corporations for over 15 years. David has significant experience in all stages of business development and transactions. He uses his extensive business experience as an executive and an entrepreneur to counsel his business clients.
