Michael L. Kaplan

Michael L. Kaplan is licensed to practice law in the New York State Courts, the New Jersey State Courts, the Federal Courts for both the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the Federal Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Supreme Court.

Michael L. Kaplan is a member of the prestigious National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Mr. Kaplan is a panel member of the AARP Legal Services Network. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association where he is also a member of its Trusts and Estates Law Section and the Brooklyn Bar Association.

Mr. Kaplan has extensive experience in the areas of Estate Planning, Trusts and Estates, Estate Litigation, Elder Law, Real Estate Practice and Litigation, Matrimonial Actions and family matters. In addition to representing numerous clients in these areas, Michael L. Kaplan is regularly appointed by the courts as a "Guardian Ad Litem" to represent persons who are unable to adequately represent themselves, due to age or incapacity. Mr. Kaplan has also given presentations to community groups about estate planning.
