Excellent Attorney

I would like to thank my attorney, Nadia Desyatnikova, by posting this review, for her integrity, attention to details, professionalism and reachability - I used her on all my purchases and recommended her to friends and family as well. She has been a pleasure to work with and I am very glad to have ...used her, and on one particular transaction I had to get my deposit back because the condo I was buying turned out to be unmortgageable, and she did that for me and did not charge me anything for her services. I still call her from time to time whenever I have real estate related questions, and she is always helpful, even if we do not have any current transaction going on. I recommend Nadia with all my heart.

Don't use her

I am really disappointed in this lawyer. I used her for my previous 3 transactions, and I guess I just got lucky with the properties. This is why I hired her this 4th time. She got me into a really bad deal. She didn't check the minutes of the board meetings, she didn't recommend me to talk to the bu...ilding manager or to the super - she just filed the paperwork, showed up at the closing late and made tons of errors during the transaction. It was a horrible experience and now I am stuck with this bad deal that I got because of her not verifying that the building and the apartment are good for me. Never again am I going to use her, and don't recommend her to anyone else.

Mediocre, you pay what you get

I used Ms. Desyatnikova on a RE transaction. Her lawyer fee was relatively cheaper than others, so I decided to use her. She will review the contract, calculate the closing cost, get the title insurance and schedule closing for you. But don't expect she goes above and beyond. She does the bare minimu...m. She will relay your message to the seller, but don't expect her to negotiate or gets the best deal for you. She does speak assertively, just somewhat on the weak side to get the best result. For my contract, I caught her making mistake filling the incorrect mortgage amount and had to fix it. Most of the times, she is on the road and works on multiple contracts. We met once in-person to go over the contract terms quickly and signed the contract. Then after that, you will speak to her on the phone. So she won't have too much time and patience to answer questions. You basically just follow what she tells you. If you have any doubt on the deal, she will either ask you to end the deal (which doesn't matter to her, since she will still get 1/2 of the lawyer fee once the process has been initiated) or go through it and listen to her without questions. And then she shows up one more time during closing. And don't expect that she will be patient enough to answer any questions after closing. If you prefer a more patient lawyer, she is not for you. But I won't say she doesn't get the job done. She does. You just need to be careful and read the contract yourself too and make sure you understand what you get into.

Excellent Lawyer

I used many Lawyers in my RE transactions. My last 3 transactions were processed with the help of Mrs. Nadia Desyatnikova. This is where I realized how Perfectly and Professionally the Lawyer can do her/his job. Thank you very much, Nadia. Rudolf
