Geanine Towers was an absolute God send in my case. I found myself in desperate need of a lawyer after a family court referee erroneously dismissed my guardianship petition. The court referee was egotistical, condescending, and more concerned with shaming the child’s mother, my relative, rather tha...n considering the child’s welfare. I am a soft spoken individual and entered the court room completely unprepared to argue such a clean-cut case when the child’s welfare was clearly at stake, the mother was consenting, and I offered a stable loving home with absolutely no criminal background. I was in complete shock with the way the case unraveled, but my relatives still needed me so I began to search for an attorney that would be willing to help me get the decision over turned. Being from out of state, I resorted to calling/emailing numerous family law offices. A few responded to my calls/emails, but after I explained my situation none were willing to take on my case. I contacted the last 3 attorneys on my list via email and Mrs. Towers was one of them. Out of the last 3, she was the only one to respond on a Sunday and told me she’d be willing to research my case in order to see if the referee truly erred in her decision. In just a few days I heard back from Mrs. Towers telling me that I indeed had justifiable grounds to appeal and that she would be more than willing to help. She offered such compassion and empathy towards my family situation, and in the courtroom she proved to be a strong advocate. She struck the perfect balance with an extremely difficult referee, respectfully yet firmly letting her know how she erred in the law and she never backed down. We got the dismissal overturned, and Mrs. Towers was right by my side for 2 subsequent appearances and I was ultimately awarded guardianship. I will be forever grateful that she responded to my email and agreed to take on my case. I’ve never felt compelled to write a review before but I just had to in this case. If you’re looking for someone to fight for you the way they would for themselves she’s the one to call!

The moment I met with Ms. Towers I knew she was the person who will look at my case fairly and objectively. And she did! Ms. Towers cited case laws related to my specific case. Ms. Towers was proactive in relating issues to me, she was very responsive to my emails and calls. Ms. Towers was very ...sensitative to my concerns. She is a true professional and knows the law. And more importantly, you have a friend in her. She is a real person. I would highly recommend her with any and all legal matters.

I am very pleased to write a review for Mrs. Towers. She was very good listening, communicating, and just overall simply caring & dedicated! First off I would like to say that this has been by far the best lawyer I had ever retained!!!! Mrs. Towers is super thorough and knows her profession p...ertaining to family law very well. One of the truths that she told me initially was “When hiring a lawyer you have to know if they will always be available for you to reach them, because if not then you should probably reconsider”. And she was right because she was always available with any question that I had via email or phone which made me even more confident in her abilities and showed me that she was concerned. She assisted me in an interstate custody case where I felt I had no hope of winning. There were a lot of wrongs that I experienced in the legal system in Brooklyn that was not in my favor. I explained to Mrs. Towers everything and after sharing my paperwork and speaking with her she understood the facts and without any hesitation she was more than willing to take my case and present it to the judge. Even through all of the repeat trips to New York I felt comfortable in court while she represented me. To make a long story short the bogus cases against me filed by the mother were dismissed and I felt that justice was served. I owe it all to Mrs. Towers through all of her efforts as she worked tirelessly to make sure that all motions were in order and stressing to the judge that all cases should be dismissed. As far as payments and rates are concerned, Mrs. Towers was always fair and was by far the least expensive of all of the other lawyers I called initially. But do not confuse her low rates for an inefficient attorney because she is definitely not. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and I wish all lawyers were as understanding, caring and strategic as her when it comes to winning cases!

My husband found Geanine Towers through the yellow pages, and when we researched her, we were happy with what we found. Ms. Towers is a compassionate liste...ner, working with my emotions and yet allowing me to be a full partner in this process. Geanine showed total respect for me and understanding of how this situation was affecting me. She explained everything and was there with me throughout, either by phone or text or in person. Best yet, there were no hidden or unexpected fees; what we originally agreed to was honored. Our day in court was not the horrible experience that I had anticipated. Ms. Towers voiced for me in "legalese" everything that I was feeling and hoping for. I don't have to worry about being victimized any more. Now I can relax

I was floored when I read the above referenced review, it is the complete opposite of my experience with Ms. Towers. I have found her to be proactive in protecting the interests of her client, knowledgable in her area of practice, professional/polite in her dealing with her client and opposing clien...t. Opposing council in my case has been condescending/insulting to both myself and Ms. Towers, has reneged on many preliminary negotiations and has been very difficult in every aspect. Never have I seen Ms. Towers lose her composure even when contending with this sort of situation. Her CV is impressive, and the court obviously believes she is trustworthy as she has been appointed as an attorney for the child. I find it impossible to believe based on my dealings with this attorney, that she would be insulting to a client and charge against the retainer irresponsibly. I am convinced I made an excellent choice in engaging the services of Ms. Towers and am confident I will continue to hold her in high esteem at the time my case comes to a conclusion. She, in my opinion, has the rare gift of being able to explain complicated 'legalese' to a layperson in a fashion that does not make them feel stupid, of having a good understanding/empathy of the complicated emotions that can accompany certain types of cases and being readily available after working hours when it is necessary to protect the interests of her client.
