A sharp strategist who knows New York divorce law cold
After six months of going around in circles, I hired Meredith hoping to settle, but preparing to litigate. She was an energetic advocate, and I was confident in her ability to do either. Meredith is a sharp strategist who knows New York divorce law and the matrimonial courts cold. She worked smartly and quickly, was highly responsive, and pushed hard for me without sugarcoating the situation if the law didn’t favor me on an issue. Meredith guided me to the settlement that was best for me and my children, and I am very grateful. I only wish I had hired her sooner.

Fantastic Attorney
Merideth was a lifesaver for my family. We actually worked on two divorces together. The second one was insanely difficult because my kids were involved and my ex wife chose one of the worst divorce lawyers in the business. He simply did not want to settle eventhough my ex wife did. I really don't know what I would have done without Merideths help. She is a real pro and she knows how not to make matters worse than they already are. I would and have recommended her to anyone that asks me. Hire her, she won't let you down!

A true lifesaver... I highly recommend...
Meredith gave me hope. She cared deeply about my child's and my welfare. Meredith did everything in her power to make things better and safer for my child and me. Good advice was given and for the first time in years I knew that the truth would come out and it did. I would highly recommend Meredith to any person needing hope and help in resolving what seems to be impossible. Meredith is extremely reasonable, will explain each option and what the outcome could be with each. An extremely responsible attorney that gets back to you immediately and nothing ever fell thru the cracks. On a personal level, while Meredith is extremely professional and knows the law inside and out, she has a heart of gold and is extremely empathetic.

You cannot go wrong with Meredith Lusthaus
Meredith Lusthaus is the best kind of person for this emotionally challenging situation. She facilely helped me handle my divorce (which involved custody issues) and did so with directness and clarity. I always felt I was in extremely capable, intuitive and knowledgeable hands, which is a huge boon when going through a divorce. She brings to the table an admirable level of professionalism along with a matter-of-fact attitude that is tempered with just the right amount of kindness needed to make this process palatable. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to use her again in the future should the occasion arise.

Highly Recommend
After getting nowhere with my divorce, I made the difficult decision to switch attorneys mid case. Ms. Lusthaus accomplished more in 2 months than a previous attorney accomplished in 2 years. She is efficient, extremely knowledgeable and answers e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner. She has a wonderful, competent staff who is always willing to help during this difficult and stressful time. The best thing about Ms. Lusthaus is that she always had my children's needs in mind. My case was completed within 5 months of retaining her.

Stellar Divorce Attorney in Brooklyn
Meredith is knowledgeable, reliable and beyond competent. She keeps up with all of the law changes and kept me notified of every step along the way in my process. Meredith answered every call in a timely fashion and provided me with critical information so I could make informed decisions. She never pressured me or push me in any one direction but gave me the pros and cons of each decision. She supported me and helped me get what I needed out of my divorce. It's a hard and trying time but with Meredith legal knowledge and support I made it through. Even after my divorce, Meredith is always available to answer questions and help me in any way that she can. I highly recommend her and have already given her name to several other people I know who are going through a divorce. I also plan to use her in sorting out my will.

Meredith is an honest, straightforward, and a brilliant attorney
Meredith was a large part of my foundation of emotional support in the 6 months working with her. I have great respect for her, in part, due to her candid, strategic thinking, and honest approach while being compassionate. During the few hearings that took place—she won all the motions which I attribute to her strength, intellectual acuity, and attention to detail. In preparing any documentation for other attorneys and/or the courts she was steadfast in being clear, honest, and open-minded. For me she was a true partner that walked along side and guided me through a difficult time. I've worked with her dad (also an attorney and it seems a great roll model), who is equally amazing. I would not hesitate to work with Meredith again.

I highly recommend Meredith (and already have to friends). She was instrumental in my being able to maintain my sanity during a very difficult divorce and custody battle because I could simply trust her to take care of the hard stuff.
