We represented the wife, a stay-at-home mother, who had given up her own career to raise children and make a home. The husband, a high-profile businessman, retained a high-profile Manhattan attorney ch ... arging $1,000 per hour, but attempted to coerce the wife into an unfavorable settlement by lowering her monthly support far below her standard of living, making it exceedingly difficult to pay her expenses and for her own legal representation in the divorce. We filed an immediate motion.

OUTCOME: Prevented removal and relocation of client's child from Brooklyn to the West Coast.

Our client's ex-wife sought to move with their only child from Brooklyn to Colorado to pursue a career opportunity. We proved at trial that if the court permitted relocation, the reduction of access th ... at our client would have to his child would adversely affect their relationship, and so would not be in his child's best interest. The lower court ruled that if the mother were to move to Colorado, our client would get physical custody of the child. The mother appealed, but the appellate court also agreed with us. Our client was ultimately able to prevent his ex-wife from relocating with his only child far away from him and his family.
