Martha Schneiderman

Personally, I do not trust the positive reviews about Martha Schneiderman. The writing style is almost the same in every review, making me think they were written by the same people—most likely Martha’s friends. She was my attorney for several months, and I strongly advise against dealing with her.... Instead of protecting her client’s interests, she does everything to help the opposing side. It is worth noting that she frequently disregarded ethical norms, openly discussing case details with the opposing attorney in close proximity to another party involved in the process. These conversations never took place near me, even though she was supposed to represent my interests. It felt as if my attorney was just another assistant for the other side.

Martha is singularly the most decent, high-integrity, empathetic, calm and professional lawyer in my almost 3 years of dealing with family law in a very high-conflict custody dispute with an infant. She is the only lawyer that was respectful of and efficient with my money -- genuinely didn't see me ...as a revenue stream, but wanted to help me get through an excruciating time of life. She knows the Brooklyn court system. She's very well researched. She is strategic, persistent, strong, and effective And, she's the only lawyer who followed through. Most talk a great game, get you to sign a huge retainer and wire money, and they don't deliver; Martha is responsive, thoughtful and she comes through. She sets very clear expectation throughout the whole process so you aren't flying totally blind in what really is a terrible, broken family court system.

Martha is a phenomenal lawyer! She represented me for 2 years as my court-appointed attorney regarding multiple restraining orders that I filed. With her effective advocacy, I received permanent orders in all cases. For any question that I had, Martha had an answer. She is consistently communicat...ive, logical, and empathetic. Despite there being mountains of evidence, Martha was able to present the evidence and facts in a concise, potent manner, advising me each step of the way. She remained flexible in terms of scheduling, working with me to make time for us to prepare. For each step of the process for each restraining order, Martha took the time to coach me, explain all court proceedings, and answer any questions in-depth. Martha closely advised me on how to best articulate in the courtroom, including which keywords to use. I am highly grateful for Martha’s representation.

Martha was my 4th lawyer in an ongoing very contentious custody case. I wish i had found her from the beginning. Martha was a steadfast advocate for child and me and was grounded, professional, skilled, empathic and always available. It can be very difficult to find a custody attorney who truly has ...the child’s best interest at the center, but Martha does. I trust her completely and would recommend her as one of the best most ethical and skilled attorneys i have ever known.
