Alice Rubina Charles

I've acquired valuable litigation and trial skills and knowledge as a trial and litigation attorney with the NYCTA.  However, my career did not start there.  As a law school graduate, I worked with a general practitioner, becoming familiar with many areas of the law, including business contracts and dissolutions, bankruptcies, trust and estate and minor criminal issues, including dmv cases.  Then, I worked for a land lord/tenant firm, and following that, a plaintiff personal injury firm.  And then I hung out my own shingle as a solo practitioner.  However, solo practice was lonely and I longed for the comraderie of a law office, thus began my tenure at the NYCTA.

I truly enjoy litigation and engaging in the practice of law.  It's something I wake up to do, daily, with verve.  I believe in being respectful and courteous to all parties , their advocates and counsel but I have always been and will continue to be, respectfully, a tenancious advocate for my clients. The oath I take requires that type of dedication and willingly, I rise to the challenge every day. 

I belong to one of the oldest and greatest professions in the world and I am honored to be so situated.
