Richard E. Stiek

I was licensed in January 2007, and I am able to practice in New York and New Jersey. I presently work as staff trial counsel for a major insurance carrier primarily in the Bronx. In 2019, before Covid restrictions were emplaced by the State of New York, I presented 12 cases to a jury before various Bronx judges. I also engaged in numerous arbitrations and mediations. I maintain an average case load of 85 cases, though the actual number varies based upon carrier needs and requirements.

I earned my JD from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2006, along with my BS in Engineering from West Point in 1996. I also have an advanced degree in psychology from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (2003) and an MBA from Cameron University (2021).

I am married and my bride and I live on the North Shore of Long Island and on Shelter Island. I am on the Board of Governors of the West Point Society of New York, The Board of Trustees of the Shelter Island Municipal Golf Course, Inc., (Shelter Island Country Club), and the Armed Forces Reserve Family Assistance Fund. I serve as a West Point Admissions Department Field Force Representative, assisting candidates for West Point with the application process.
