Mr. Jafri has nearly 20 years of experience advising large, multi-facility health systems, hospitals, nursing homes, research foundations, professional health associations as well as American businesses, multi-national companies, foreign investors and high-net worth individuals on all aspects of immigration law and regulatory compliance. Mr. Jafri has developed a sterling reputation as a knowledgeable, creative and solution-oriented attorney. Mr. Jafri fully understands the commercial benefit of predictable, efficient immigration counsel as well as the personal and professional implications of immigration upon the lives of executives, investors, business owners, and professionals. Mr. Jafri is well versed in all aspects of Immigration & Nationality law and has worked effectively and closely with federal agencies including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of State (DOS) and Department of Labor (DOL).

Mr. Jafri concentrates on business, investment and employment-based cases and has successfully assisted clients in obtaining nonimmigrant or temporary visas including B1/B2, E-1, E-2, F-1, H-1B, H-3, J-1, L-1A/B, O-1, P-1 and R-1. On matters relating to immigrant visas or "green cards" Mr. Jafri has extensive experience in successfully filing employment-based cases including:

He has personally accompanied corporate and individual clients to American embassies in Asia and Europe to facilitate and expedite the issuance of visas.

A trusted advisor to other law firms, Mr. Jafri serves as immigration counsel to companies and law firms on M&A transactions, advises clients on intergovernmental matters, represents foreign companies and investors in establishing US offices and counsels US companies in establishing foreign operations. Mr. Jafri has considerable offshore experience and maintains an affiliation with a Switzerland-based Qualified Financial Intermediary (QFI) and consulting group that specializes in advising multinational companies and entrepreneurs on business structuring matters.

Mr. Jafri is a long-standing member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and involved in AILA's legislative efforts. Mr. Jafri is a 1991 graduate of St. John's University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review, and a 1987 graduate of New York University. Mr. Jafri is a former Trustee (2000-03) of the Interest on Lawyers Account Fund, having been appointment by Governor George Pataki. He is also a member of St. John's University School of Law Nassau County Alumni Board. Mr. Jafri is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey as well as the United States Districts Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and District Court of New Jersey.

Mr. Jafri has authored a chapter entitled Foreign Medical Graduates & Immigration Law: A Primer in International Medical Graduates in US Hospitals (1995, American College of Physicians) and is a frequent lecturer and presenter to hospitals and medical associations.
