Prior to opening my own firm, I began my legal career as a paralegal in Cleveland, Ohio assisting in civil litigation and specializing in all areas of plaintiff’s personal injury. After graduating from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, I began practicing law in the state of Michigan where I represented injured drivers, passengers, motorcyclists and pedestrians that were involved in automobile accidents.
When I moved to New York, I specialized in real estate closings and had the pleasure of assisting the public and several Patrolman Benevolent Associations, such as the Rockland County PBA and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, NYS local retirement litigation, General Municipal Law Section 207(a) and 207(c), motor vehicle accidents, and other plaintiff personal injury matters. I also had the honor and privilege of assisting several 911 first responders in obtaining benefits under the NY Workers’ Compensation Law and the Victims Compensation Act/Zadroga which they so rightfully deserved. More recently, I spent the last five years representing claimant’s in NY Workers’ Compensation and plaintiff personal injury matters ranging from car/motor vehicle accidents, dental and medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, wrongful death, and slip/trip and fall.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two stepchildren and staying active by going hiking and running, doing hot yoga, and participating in Spartan races with my friends.

"My law firm refers matters to Ms.Nappi and I can attest to her litigation prowess. This attorney is bright, competitive, perhaps born from her collegiate athletic talents but easily transferable to the Courtroom. You will have an effective "never back down" advocate, one who is well trained and always prepared. You are in able hands both in and out of Court with Heather as your advocate. This derives from my law firm's and this attorney's personal experiences. You will be impressed as we continue to be."
