Calm, analytical, pragmatic.

I run a small commercial real estate company with multiple entities, including S-corps, an LLC and an estate. James is in the process of helping us update buy/sell agreements and corporate governance and loan documents. James saved our Estate a significant bit of money in a negotiation with the IR...S involving an unfortunate situation stemming from the real estate collapse of 2008. Our initial Offer in Compromise (recommended by James) was transferred from office to office within the IRS. James’ persistence kept the door open when it seemed the IRS wanted to close the case, and we finally got our hearing. During the hearing, his calm demeanor and knowledge of the situation were clearly appreciated by the examiner (and certainly by me). I’m very pleased with the outcome.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
