Lauren E. Michaeli

Lauren is a Partner at Farrauto Berman Slater & Michaeli, dedicating her practice to exclusively family law. Lauren is adept at representing clients whose cases involve sensitive matters such as infidelity, domestic violence and sexual abuse allegations. Her practice includes matrimonial matters, custody, prenuptial agreements, relocation, support, business distribution, orders of protection and the like. Lauren was lead counsel in the pivotal relocation case Lavery v. O’Sullivan, 169 N.Y.S.3d 632 (App. Div. 2d Dep’t 2022), where she successfully prevailed at both Trial and Appellate levels. Outside of her legal work, Lauren lives in NYC and runs an eccentric social media account for her 2 Italian Greyhounds, Gia and Jax. Lauren developed an indoor cycling program in NYC and taught Megaformer classes for 8 years. While her 5 major knee surgeries ended her Spartan and Tough Mudder days, you can still find Lauren racing to her daily fitness classes in her manual-transmission car whom she named ‘Jake’. Lauren has a long history of rescue work. Half-Israeli, Lauren is a natural leader who advocates with her whole-heart.

Lauren is a graduate of Fordham Law, graduating with the Archibald R. Murray Award, summa cum laude, and New York University, cum laude with a concentration in writing, social work and business communications.
