Excellent

Andrew is one of the most capable, patient, and insightful attorneys I have ever worked with. I highly recommend Andrew, who's vast experience is needed on any case, but especially the cases where one is a victim of legal abuse and newer technologies used today. Thank you Andrew!! For everythi...ng.

Highly recommended!

I retained Andrew Proto to handle a case for me based on his reputation in the legal community as a skilled litigator who achieves results. Andrew lived up to his reputation and then some; he wasn't afraid to take on an aggressive adversary, he had great court room presence, and it was clear in the c...ourtroom that Andrew was respected by the Judge assigned to the case. Andrew always made himself available to explain the case to me and even after the case was over Andrew has always been available to answer any questions that I have had. I have recommended Andrew to friends and I would highly recommend Andrew and his firm to anyone.

Please stay as far from Andrew Proto and the firm as possible!

Please stay away from Andrew Proto and the firm!!! I hired Andrew Proto to represent me in the Family Court of Westchester. Andrew Proto charged me the deposit to start working on my case, and even though he did not work on my case, was fired by me due to that before the court trial date, he still ...sent me the invoice showing that he had used 90% of the deposit in basically in few hours. The invoice included charges for the free initial consultation that was offered by the firm for new clients for free on the date where he was not even yet retained by me, for the phone conversation where I called to correct the amount of the requested deposit mistakenly emailed to me by him and making the payment over the phone, for email correspondence from the paralegal assigned to the case who was repeatedly asking for the same document initially provided to the office and the information sent to both Andrew Proto and her several times, as well as charging the hourly rate of an attorney's working hour for things usually done by a paralegal. The first email from Andrew Proto with a report of what had been done by the firm for my case and what the action plan going forward would be was received by me on the day when he was going on vacation with the return date being two days before the trial date. I fired Andrew Proto on that same day and represented myself without any help or advice from him. The case was dismissed based on the documents that were presented to Andrew Proto from the very beginning of the communication, which I also presented to the judge. Andrew Proto had never reviewed the documents and information presented, as the questions asked by the paralegal showed that they did not even look at the paperwork/information provided, moreover after having emailed the same things again, the paralegal kept asking for the same information wasting time and then stating that she did have the information after all. I received the invoice from Andrew Proto for all untruthfully charged amounts and responded to it via email and sent the hard copy via mail too explaining each instance and line of the invoice being untruthful, adding email correspondence proof, even the proof from the phone conversation timing report from the carrier showing that the invoice is untruthful, deceiving and illegal, but no one from the firm has yet responded to the dispute of the invoice.

I wish I could give no stars

I hired this office for a traffic ticket. I specifically told Andrew in my initial consultation that I drive for a living and I needed the ticket reduced to no points. He tells me I have the best chance with his office because he use to be the DA of the town I was charged in. So I took his word and c...hose him. The day of court I get a letter saying that I had a plea entered with two points associated with my license. Like you couldn't get an 1101 violation? That fine would've been over 100 dollars? I thought those were your boys there Andrew. Now because of this I may lose my job. I don't drive for fun or my health, I'm paying my way through college and my fathers medical expenses because he has cancer. Im even more upset because I could went to court myself instead of paying him $450 to reduce one point. Not to mention he was charging me $500 initially. This was my college tuition for the month, now I'm behind on my payment and I'll probably lose my job. Thanks for nothing Andrew and I will be telling every person I come into contact with about your office. It's just unbelievable . I am beyond angry and disappointed and I feel I should be given my money back. Why would I pay someone $450 for a one point reduction? Does that make sense? It does not Maybe because I'm just a common person he can careless about, but it really doesn't matter at this point. What's done is done. I hope that this review helps someone choose carefully before they hire him.

I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the outcome of your traffic ticket case. I and my office always work to obtain the best possible results for our clients. To obtain the best result we need to consider several factors including the strength of the prosecution's case and possible defenses. We always keep in touch with our clients, explain our strategy and answer any follow up questions. I am always a phone call away. I would be happy to meet or review your case to give you a better understanding of why the plea bargain was your best result. Briefly, it was a reduced charge saving both points and higher fines. In my opinion a trial would have resulted in a finding of guilty. Again, I remain available to discuss the case and my strategy.

He's a great lawyer! he really fights for justice and does whatever in his power to help his client. He did what many lawyers said they couldn't, and he won a case that was almost impossible to win. he fought for our justice and united our family, we will always be very grateful.
